Galileo Rolls Out the MiniBurger
in Maxi Way at Anuga ’09 in Cologne
On the occasion of Anuga 2009, slated for Oct. 10-14 at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Galileo will unveil for first time its new trend product: the MiniBurger.
“This small snack delivers a great taste and will surely be acclaimed in equal measure with its bigger brother from the USA,” said Steffano La Vecchia, managing director of the Trierweiler, Germany-based producer of specialty snacks and appetizers.
The company’s latest creation is yet another example of its ongoing focus on the mini format, which is gaining popularity among consumers all over the world. Available in three varieties, they are suitable for many occasions ranging from quick snacks between meals, as finger food being offered at parties, or an appetizer served to guests who drop in at people’s homes unannounced. What’s more, moderate consumption of mini portions helps those watching their waistlines to keep in shape.
Galileo was one of the first producers of frozen convenience foods to notice and act on this trend by manufacturing mini format products many years ago. Based on still rising sales figures, its classic Mini Pizza continues to rank number one, according to La Vecchia. Meanwhile, the Bruschetta, NachoBites, Flammkuchen, Wraps and Rösti have also come on strong as handy little snacks. Now the MiniBurger enriches this assortment as a further original which is well liked internationally in many forms.
“We have thus proved once again that delicious modern food does not need to be expensive,” said the managing director. “Our mission is to offer delicious food of high quality which beautifies daily life, and which anybody can afford.”
Galileo does not compromise when it comes to quality. Thus the ingredients for MiniBurgers are carefully selected. The company does not use gene-altered ingredients or artificially-produced cheese. The bread rolls are exclusively produced for Galileo by Pane Treviris, which is also located in Trierweiler.
“So it is obvious that the genuine American speciality is being produced in an environment which is dominated by Italian lust for life,” commented La Vecchia. |
